Running When Sick

Now that winter is here and so is the cold/flu season, we often deliberate on whether to run when we are not feeling all that well. We often use the rule of thumb that if the illness is above the throat and not in the chest then it's okay to run, right? Well what about if you have a sinus infection and your equilibrium is off and your energy level is low as in my case right now? I found this interesting article about running when sick with some good guidelines to follow:

I hope my friends were able to go out for a run without me today. I'm jealous.

We did run and we definitely missed you. We have no idea how far we went or how fast, which just leaves us to generously guesstimate. Hopefully you are feeling a bit better, we are waiting to see what we can do for the rest of the week. On the plus side the warmer weather really helped the legs feel better, but it got quite hot toward the end of the run. We ran from Lowe's to Newhall Ranch and instead of re-entering the trail, we just continued on Newhall Ranch to McBean and then took the trail back to Lowe's. We are hoping it was at least 3 miles, if it was less then break it to us gently.

A friend/relative with a GPS is not always a welcome thing. We will try again tomorrow. See how lost we are without you K.
