Moms Out Running Everywhere- This blog is for moms to discuss the everyday challenges and rewards of running and being a mom. It is also a reminder to us that there is MORE to us than being moms. We come together with different backgrounds, beliefs, experiences, but we share a common goal, to somehow fit running into our busy lives.

Ojai to Ocean Half Marathon
I had trouble with my Garmin in the beginning because I couldn't quite read the smaller print with my contacts on. I don't think I started the actual GPS until around mile 1. Official results are as follows:
Caryn 2:15:24
Bonnie 2:12:30
Patty 2:10:07
Kwan 1:59:58
Marisol 1:55:11

So glad to have this race over with!! The training seemed to be so hard...I am hoping I can figure out what the problem was before Oct! I felt like this was an easy enough course, but the humidity was a killer!! The stretch of race that was run on the streets just went on forever:( but the finish was the best finish yet!! It was so much fun to be out there with all the girls was just great!! Having my hubby come up and cheer me in was a special bonus, I have some pics to share soon!!
I really felt the miles when we got down by the beach. I so badly wanted to stop several times just to give my ankle a rest. I didn't think the training was so hard and felt like we tapered off just at the right point. It was just hard trying to figure out how to get the miles in using our trail system. I feel like October will be a breeze compared to this one since there's no pressure as far as time or PRs.
